I have these throughout my house since I like the low profile, even when pointed at artwork on the walls. The center gimbal is pivoted off center so that the light only partly protrudes even at a sharp angle. These can be rotated and angled in nearly any direction. The opening is small (essentially the MR16 bulb) with a protective UV glass filter - important to get unless you plan to buy the pricier bulbs that have built in UV filtering. My preference, however, is 3 inch cans with a similar Nora trim of even lower profile, but they are not IC rated so they cannot be used in applications with insulation without creating an insulation barrier - and heat loss. |
