This lighting fixture is very well made and a great deal. It is on the porch of my 100 year old house and looks as if it's always been there because of the seeded glass. It is on the small side but that's what I wanted.The only problem with it is, it doesn't take a standard light bulb - it takes very short ones only. I'm using a round appliance bulb. That's why I gave it four stars instead of five.

Wasn't sure how large to get a ceiling medallion that would complement a 56" fan. Turns out that it doesn't really matter since both big & small medallions gives each fan that extra sophisticated look, no matter how big or small. For more heightened drama however, I might go for a larger (say....32-inch) medallion the next time around. Especially if it's in a larger family room with an open concept to the kitchen. However this 22-inch Minka Aire medallion turned out to be stunning with the Monte Carlo 5SBR56 Strasburg 56 Inch Ceiling Fan in British Bronze. Lots of compliments from everyone who visits.

This medallion goes naturally with the Minka-Aire fan. Well made and sturdy. Easy to put up with just adhesive caulk. My only complaint was the shipping time. It took almost a month to ship.

This looks fantastic, but it was warped when it came to us and the recommended hanging directions didn't work at all. Fortunately, tiny nails in the corners held it in place (and fortunately didn't bust anything) while the adhesive dried. All in all I'd say it was worth the trouble, because it looks so nice!

The item arrived without any cracks/damage and was beautiful. The detail is exquisite. Be aware that the 18" diameter is measured from the tips of the 4 points (that stick out) - the rest of the medallion is about 1.5" smaller, so the actual diameter for the circle is 16.5" This item is very light. The mounting hardware and system included with this is very easy to install. It's much better than the 16" medalion I bought from Home Depot that had absolutely nothing with it for the installation. This medalion comes even with 2 types of screws. It's always so suprising to me, how just one medallion can make the whole room feel put together.

This is very pretty and unique. I have not put it on the ceiling yet so I can't attest to the ease associated with that task. It is light and came well packaged and in good condition. It is some sort of composite material like a lot of trim is these days. Definitely a statement. If you go to a home improvement store you will not find anything like this, the selection is limited and the designs more generic. This medallion looks as good in person as it does online. I highly recommend this.

This medallion really looks like plaster and adds a beautiful architectuarl, old world plaster element to the ceiling ....the ones in Home Depot look plastic and fake....a quality item at a fair price.
